Mary W. Carey

 

SSI’s existence can be attributed to the support and encouragement of Mary W. Carey.  As the wife of SSI’s founder Bob Carey, Mary’s influence permeates the company and its various operations.  A successful and spirited leader, Mary spent over a decade working with The Limited Stores, Inc.  As District Manager, she was responsible for the recruiting/hiring and development of store managers, managing financial performance and ensuring customer satisfaction and quality through service and visual merchandising. She covered districts in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Washington, DC and Virginia.  Mary has also worked with children affected with autism and prior to formally joining the SSI team, she spent five years at St. Stephen’s Nursery School/Ridgefield CT, overseeing and teaching their Kindergarten Enrichment Program.  As part owner of SSI, Mary’s responsibilities are wide ranging and include daily interaction between sponsors, affiliates and SSI programming partners, creation of sales/marketing materials, press releases, collections and website management.
