Celebrating 12+ years with SSI, the meaningful contributions that Steve Downes has made to SSI are too numerous to chronicle in this space. In his role as VP/Affiliate Sales, he’s been important to SSI’s sustained success. Steve’s experience, knowledge and professionalism have endeared him with SSI’s programming partners, radio affiliates and other industry personnel. He’s achieved success at multiple levels of radio, serving as Vice-President/General Manager of leading radio stations (including AM 1130 WISN/FM 97.3 WLTQ - Milwaukee WI, AM 1490 WGCH - Greenwich CT, AM/FM WCHK - Atlanta GA, AM 590 KSCJ/AM 1350 KGHF/FM 103.9 KYZX - Pueblo CO, AM 1660 WMIB/1480 WODX - Naples FL), as a Director of Affiliate Sales at CBS Radio Networks, as Specialty Affiliate Manager at Westwood One for G. Gordon Liddy. He’s also served as President of TeamRadio in Atlanta, GA.  Steve's focused demeanor and passion for radio continues to propel SSI's affiliate efforts and growth, but it's his personality and proven track-record that connects with the SSI Team, radio station management, radio group leaders, SSI programming partners and related broadcast associates.
